The Iron County Economic Development Corporation serves as a Host for the Region 1 MI-SBTDC, and a Business Counselor is available by appointment on a monthly basis, please contact the EDC to schedule an appointment or to speak with an MI-SBTDC Business Counselor.

The Jefferson East Business Association (JEBA) offers one day per week MI-SBTDC counseling and selected training programs from the MI-SBTDC as an outreach service office of the EMU MI-SBTDC @ TechTown.  For more information about MI-SBTDC services at JEBA, contact JEBA or the EMU MI-SBTDC at TechTown.

The Marinette/Menominee Chamber of Commerce serves as a Host for the Region 1 MI-SBTDC, and a Business Counselor is available by appointment on a monthly basis, please contact your local Chamber to schedule an appointment or to speak with an MI-SBTDC Business Counselor.  Locations are availabe in both Menominee and Marinette.

Lake Superior State University periodically hosts Region 1 MI-SBTDC Trainings and is a key partner of the SBTDC. LSSU's Prototype Development Center (PDC)offers its engineering resources and expertise to any small to mid-sized manufacturer that wants to develop and bring new products to market. LSSU's (PDC) puts manufacturing methods, mechanical services, materials testing, electronics, computers and robotics at a company's disposal so it can create functional prototypes of any product.  The center operates under the auspices of LSSU’s School of Engineering and Technology.

The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce hosts an MI-SBTDC Business Counselor Session each month.  To make an appointment to visit with a Business Counselor, contact the Chamber of Commerce.

Welcome to the Oakland County Business Center MI-SBTDC where our client focus is on small business.  According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), one of the definitions of a small business is one with fewer than 500 employees. Our sweet spot is companies with 10 to 99 employees representing traditional and Emerging Sector businesses.
