To view training events closest to you  please choose from the Location dropdown how you would like to search for events: 

- All - Lists all events available in the state. Use this option if you don't mind traveling and would rather make a selection based on event Topic
- Online - Lists training events available online only
- In Area - Allows you to choose your county from an additional Area dropdown
- Near Zip Code - Provides zip code based search
- At Center - Allows you to select a specific center from an additional Center dropdown

The Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center at Tech Town will host monthly 8(a) Business Development programs that help minority small businesses gain a foothold in government contracting. Upon enrollment in this program, firms receive information on finding contracts, proposal preparation, and contract administration. The monthly pre-qualification meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month from 9 am - noon at Tech Town.

This year a panel of 3 successful business owners will explain how they prepared themselves for government, corporate and export business. Also a panel of 3 buyers will discuss what they look for in small business vendors. The event purpose is to introduce business owners to procurement specialists on corporate, government, municipal & institutional levels in an effort to build and diversify their businesses. $50 per person (after September 30th the cost is $75 ) *Payment must be received via credit/debit card or check by September 30th for $50 registration (payable to Oakland County). All payments are final and tickets are non-refundable.
